The 2013 Summer Slam

The Summer Slam Alumni Basketball Game will be held July 19-21, 2013 on the campus of Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA. We already have several verbal commitments from the men's teams. Along with Mercyhurst, Gannon, and Edinboro, we also have University of Findlay (Ohio) Currently, we are finalizing the women's side of the event as we try to lock down commitments from the ladies from the 4 local universities - Mercyhurst, Gannon, Edinboro, and Penn State Behrend. We are expecting a power packed weekend of games, but we will also be offering a 2 hour basketball clinic for local kids ages 7 to 12.



Tentative Schedule of Events:

Friday night - Kick off party - possible guest speaker​



Saturday morning 9am-11am - youth clinic



Saturday Afternoon 11:30am - 8pm - Summer Slam Games at Mercyhurst University

Sunday  morning 10am-noon - Final Pool Play Games

Sunday early afternoon - Championship games

Tickets for the Event - Ticket sales will benefit the sports and after-school programs at Erie Rise Leadership Academy Charter School ​

Youth Day Pass (ages 5-18) - $4

We will be selling 50/50 tickets for the game @ $5 a piece to benefit Grady's Decision (for Prematurely Born Babies). Buying a ticket gives you a chance to win $2500! We need your help to sell 1000 tickets. You don't have to be present to win.



There will also be contests, a 50/50 raffle, and a raffle/auction table (benefits the Emmaus Ministries of Erie, PA) during the games on Saturday. Taco Bell will be giving away a certificate for FREE TACOS FOR A YEAR during half time of our last game on Saturday July 20!
